The Song of Achilles

"The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller is fantastic! I can't recommend this one enough.

It's told by Patroclus and is very touching and moving and beautiful. The writing style threw me off a bit at first, but it lends it a powerful detachment that, by the end, makes the whole book that much more meaningful.

I don't know the legend of Achilles much at all, so I don't know how true to the original this one stays, but that means I do know you don't have to have previous knowledge of the mythology to love and appreciate this book.
