The Paris Library

"The Paris Library" by Janet Skeslien Charles is a moving story of loss and perseverance. Historical fiction is not a genre I usually read, so I don't have a whole lot to say about this one.

By creating her character amidst the lives of the real life ALP librarians, the author expertly balances history and fiction, and I really appreciated that there was a section about the real life people and truth vs fiction included in the back of the book.

If any of the elements of this book appeal to you, I recommend giving it shot.
